From the point of view of the presentation's visual quality the
template is the most important module of the Shaker presentation
system.
For more information about how Shaker's templates are created
please, see the template section of our product info page on the
Shaker website.
You choose the presentation template you want to
use when you create a new presentation. A presentation cannot be
transferred to another template directly - it wouldn't work because
of the design variations from one template to the other - but you
can copy content (objects) from one presentation to another.
*****************
The template defines the look and feel of the presentation by providing
a series of custom-made design presets:
* basic slide layout
*
object styles
* default (template) animation of
* slide title design
and animation
* slide transition animation
* slide layout guides
basic slide layout
includes the slide background image, the position and animation
of the slide titles, the position and design of the slide pager,
and the position and design of the exit presentation button.
object styles
Styles are the core of Shaker 's capability to communicate a consistent
visual identity.
Every object in shaker has 3 styles, defined in
the template. The style setting determines the general look of
the given object.
e.g. in the case of a simple object, as the rectangle,
styles will set 3 variations for the rectangle fill color and border
color. in the case of a more complex object, as the textbox, styles
will define 3 variations for textbox font, font size and font color.
object default animation
The default animation - also 'template animation' - defines the
behavior of objects when they enter and exit the slide. It is a
complex effect designed by the Flash expert who built the template.
Each object and each object style can have a different template
animation. The template animation is enabled on all objects by
default, it can be disabled or replaced by user animations using
the controls on the animations sheet of the properties panel.
Text,
bulletpoint and chart objects also have a special focus animation
effect, also part of the template design.
slide title design and animation
The position/text format/animation of the slide
title object is fixed in the template.
slide transition animation
also a design element defined in the template, the transition animation
is played when you change slides, slidegroups.
It is the template designer's decision whether the transition animation
is played between each slide, or only between slidegroups, or not
used at all.
The feature is not optional to the user.
slide
layout guides
a set of invisible guides used by the object
align function: when
aligned, objects will snap to this guide.
Text, bulletpoints and
subbullets have dedicated guides to align to. To enforce layout
design, the template's designer may choose to automatically apply
guides to the bulletpoint/subbullet objects - in these templates,
users will only be able to move bulletpoints and subbullets vertically. |
